These rings are handmade and one of a kind. Each ring is made individually and contains carefully selected, highest quality fusible art glass and dichroic glass. Dichroic glass, developed by NASA, is a mulit layer coating placed on glass by using a highly technical vacuum deposition process.
Quartz crystal and metal oxide are vaporized with an electron beam gun in a vacuum chamber and the vapor then floats upward and attaches, then condenses on the surface of the glass in the form of a crystal structure. the result is a glass similar to a gemstone, which transmits and reflects different colors. The glass in hand cut, ground and fired up to 1600 degrees in a 17 hour program up to three times. The rings have solid sterling silver components to ensure beauty and durability. They are adjustable from approx. sizes 6-9.
